My report today will be about Michael Fred Phelps.

Michael Phelps swam his way to victory at the 2008 Olympics.  You might be asking yourself how did he do this?  Well… I will hope answer some of your questions.

Michael Phelps was born in Baltimore , Maryland June 30, 1985 .   He has been swimming competitively since he was 12.

He was 15 in his first Olympics in Sydney Australia he won 5th place in 200m Butterfly he was the youngest US swimmer ever to be in the Olympics.  In his second Olympics in Athens , Grease 2004 he won 6 gold medals and 2 bronze.  But what really made him popular was in 2008 Olympics in Beijing , Japan .  He won 8 gold medals, that beat the record of most gold medals won in one Olympics and he set seven world record.

Some people say he is made for swimming.  But why?  His long, thin body helps him move though the water faster.  He has long arms which spam over 6 feet 7 inches act like paddles in the water.  His short legs and size 14 feet help him move faster in the water.

In his free time he plays video games. And before races he lisens to hip-hop .  He also like hanging out with his old english bull hownd.

Hello!  My name is Gaby.  I live in Argentina.  The book that I am currently reading is “The Last of the Really Great Whangdoodles” it is a really good book that is written by a realy famous actress that is in “Marry Poppins”, and “The Sound of Music” her name is Julie Andrews Edwards and the book is about three kids named Ben, Tom, and Lindy Potter have never herd of a Whangdoodle-until they meet Profeser Savant at the zoo.  He tells them all about them and how people stopped believing in them.
